SASSA does not offer any Grants or Financial Benefits For Funeral Services, even to SASSA deceased beneficiaries. After saying this, the organization is responsible for paying the grant for the month of the beneficiary’s death.
Further, when a SASSA Beneficiary dies, the Organization seizes its Grant Services, and their relatives must apply separately to claim any SASSA Grant. Of course, SASSA offers Social Relief Grants to Deceased Persons Families.
In the meantime, several other South African Government-funded Organizations are working to provide Free-of-Cost Funeral Services to the citizens, including Municipalities, Social Work Departments, Insurance Companies, and NGOs.
SASSA Funeral Grants
Since SASSA primarily provides Financial Assistance For Food, Shelter, and Education, the organization does not offer any Funeral Grants. However, if a recipient dies during the grant’s month, SASSA is responsible for the payout for that particular month.

After saying this, SASSA offers various other, such as SRD, Child Grant, and Grant-In-Aid, to such deceased Families. Meanwhile, the South African Social Department, alongside NGOs and Insurance Companies, also works to aid such victims.
What if Not Received?
In short, SASSA offers no Funeral Grants, but the Government is working to initiate a project to provide Financial Aid for Funeral Services to below-par citizens.
However, you can contact the South African Social Department or NGOs to claim Funeral Grants.
